WaW  offers thematic and strategic consultancy on questions of international and  European politics, German foreign policy, and international personnel policy.  Past projects also dealt with corporate communication and public administration  reform.

    - The stiftung neue verantwortung (new leadership foundation) is a think tank bringing together knowledge from different disciplines and professional sectors. In year-long working groups, academics and practitioners address one main challenge and jointly develop problem-oriented approaches. As a fellow, Cornelius Adebahr at first headed the working group „Geopolitics and the Financial crisis“, looking at the global power shifts in the wake of the economic crisis of 2008/09. Subsequently, he took over the working group on „Resource Strategy“ analysing the global supply of raw materials.

    - DGAP is the major platform for foreign policy debate in Germany.The Council’s research institute provides exertise on international affairs for government and parliament alike. Since early 2006, Cornelius Adebahr has covered issues such as European foreign policy, the Western Balkans, and the consequences of the financial crisis for Europe.

    - Founded in 2001 by four renowned  parter institutions (Robert Bosch Foundation, German Council on Foreign  Relations (DGAP), German Institute for International and Security Affairs  (SWP), as well as Tönissteiner Kreis), the Berlin Initiative had two aims: To  enhance the preconditions and opportunities for young professionals striving  for a European or international career, and to support the federal and regional  executive in devising a long-term strategy to foster German representation in  international organisations. These were achieved through informal talks among  decision-makers and policy papers aimed at a professional audience. Cornelius  Adebahr analysed the international exposure of the key personnel of the Berlin Republic  (deputies and ministers) in an article for the journal “Berliner Republik”  (issue 03/05).

    - Analysis  and consultancy on the Common Foreign  and Security Policy (CFSP) of the European Union
 
    - Working for Prof. Dr. Jürgen Meyer, member of the German Bundestag and  delegate to the European Convention, Cornelius Adebahr analysed the draft  proposal for a European Constitution with regard to its foreign policy elements  and made subsequent recommendations. He also published an article on the  financing of CFSP (together with PD Dr. Sven Hölscheidt in finanzreform  2004-2).
